About Leigh Marz

Leigh Marz, Coalitions Consultant

I am an author, leadership coach, and collaboration consultant. I’ve led diverse initiatives, including a training program to promote an experimental mindset among multi-generational teams at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and a decade-long cross-sector collaboration to reduce toxic chemicals in partnership with the Green Science Policy Institute, Harvard University, IKEA, Google Green Team, Kaiser Permanente, and many others.

I’m the author, along with Justin Zorn, of Golden: The Power of Silence in a World of Noise. Our publisher is Harper Wave/ HarperCollins in the US and Ebury/ Penguin Random House in the UK. As of December 2021, our book is set to be translated into 11 languages worldwide. Our publication date is May 17th 2022.

Together, Justin and I have also co-founded Astrea Strategies in order to do work related to our forthcoming book and our collective expertise in economics, NGO’s, cross-sector collaboration, psychedelics, federal policy and strategy, foreign policy, climate and energy policy, elections and civil rights work, and the nexus of any of these areas of interest.

When I’m not doing these things I might be choreographing dance with Rhythm & Motion or teaching Zumba at my local community center.

I live in Berkeley, California, with my husband and daughter. We’re surrounded by natural beauty, family, and friends.
