The Power of Silence in a World of Noise
Golden is a field guide to getting beyond the noise—not just the noise in our ears, but also on our screens and in our heads. Drawing on lessons from neuroscience, business, spirituality, politics, and the arts, Marz and Zorn explore why auditory, informational, and internal silence is essential for physical health, mental clarity, ecological sustainability, and vibrant community. They show how to go beyond the ordinary rules and tools of mindfulness to help individuals, families, organizations, and whole societies dial down the noise and find pristine attention.
“Golden is a guide to getting out of the shallows and into the depths.”

Motivating Scientists, Engineers, and Creatives
I specialize in work with scientists, engineers, business and NGO leaders, and creatives who are making the world a better place for all.
We seek and find strategies that resonate with your highest vision.
We identify key questions and explore divergent thinking.
We generate ideas and seek alignment.
With an experimental mindset, we launch safe-to-fail experiments, make observations, and collect meaningful data.
We learn, adapt, iterate, and grow.
Whenever possible, we have fun as we go.
Cross-sector coalitions have proven to be one of the most potent ways to create large-scale and enduring environmental and social change.
I design and tend to the space where diverse groups convene to do work on a shared mission. I foster a pop-up culture where fruitful collaboration and novel thinking can occur.
"Leigh helps mix each person’s best ideas into a successful whole."
— Arlene Blum, Founder and Executive Director of Green Science Policy Institute
I’m most interested in working with creatives—artists and innovators—who are doing consciousness-shifting work on behalf of restoring our humanity and respect for life. Three recent examples include:
- An early stage thought partnership and development with a creative who launched a global operatic tour to mend our relationship with nature.
- A 4-day retreat with a documentary film team to determine the “North Star” and key questions to be addressed in a film about the economy.
- A customized retreat design in partnership with a psychedelic guide who offers high-integrity, consciousness-expanding journeys to groups of well-vetted participants.
"Leigh is extremely generous in spirit and backed with world class professional facilitation skills. She is truly a joy to work with."
